About Us

Many years ago, on a dreamt winters’ morning in the fabled meadows of Kanha, we fell in love. The love was intense and of the unconditional kind, love that makes you stronger and happier with every passing breath. The jungles had become an inseparable part of us and our eternal love affair had begun.
As months and years came and went, and as season rose and fell, the jungles grew on us. There was something mesmerizing, something bewildering, something astounding about the forests and its ancient denizens. The tiger was at the center of this love affair, for only those who have tracked a wild tiger in its incredibly pristine natural habitat know about its charm and excitement.
The ‘Jungle Stories’ was born through this love of ours.
It’s yours, now.

Our Vision

Having been on thousands of safaris and spent countless hours trekking and hiking in the forests of India, we were subjected to the grave realisation that there is no home-grown apparel line dedicated to the fine needs of the discerning nature and wildlife traveller. Be it the emphasis on the right fabric, the colours and tones and the overall challenges that a nature traveller faces, we got down our heads and started our research, a thorough research that lasted a couple of years.

After interacting with hundreds of veteran safari and nature travellers, understanding the things missing in the market and coming up with a proper plan, the Jungle Stories was born.

We are here to make your safaris and nature travel easy, comfortable and highly enjoyable. With us, you shall create your own Jungle Stories, maybe write your own Jungle Book.

Let’s cherish the wilds, our greatest heritage!

Founder

Swati Thorat:

A veteran from the clothing industry, Swati has been successfully running her own brand ‘Cotton Village’ for the past 12 years. A true workhorse, a fiercely passionate and intensely dedicated lady, Swati’s expertise and experience from the clothing industry is hard to beat. Playing with fabrics and colors, experimenting with its feel and touch and working closely with the artisans from the hinterland is Swati’s greatest joy.
Having been on numerous safaris in the past few years, Swati has undertaken the arduous but highly enjoyable task of getting fashion into wildlife clothing. ‘What’s wrong in looking good and feeling good, while you stand mesmerized watching a wild tiger in the glorious forests, asks she! The Jungle Stories is proud and humbled to have Swati as its founding partner, for she puts her heart, soul, brain and sweat into everything she touches.
